What It Is NOT
Plan My Case is not legal advice. It is an AI-generated legal information tool. Every plan includes:
"This plan was generated by AI from publicly available legal information. It is for guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. For advice specific to your circumstances, consult a qualified solicitor."
The AI cannot:
- Review your documents
- Give you an opinion on the merits of your case
- Tell you whether you will win
- Act as your solicitor
How the AI Works
Plan My Case is powered by eSolicitors' proprietary AI system, which combines advanced language understanding with real-time verification against live official sources (gov.uk, HMRC, courts.gov.uk, and other authoritative databases).
Your plan is cross-checked for factual accuracy before being presented to you. Key facts are marked as:
- Verified - confirmed by 2 or more authoritative sources
- Single source - confirmed by one source
- Unverified - AI estimate (treat with caution and verify independently)
All verified facts include a disclaimer: "Figures may change - always confirm with the official source."
Emergency Detection
If your description contains words or phrases associated with a legal emergency (domestic abuse, arrest, eviction, immediate debt crisis), the platform detects this and shows a URGENT helpline banner with relevant contact numbers before proceeding with your plan.
You are always encouraged to call a helpline or 999 in a genuine emergency before using an AI advisor.

Privacy
When you use Plan My Case:
- Anonymous users: Your description is associated with a temporary session ID (stored in a secure, HttpOnly cookie) - not with your name or email
- Logged-in users: Your session is linked to your account but your legal description is treated as sensitive data - it is not displayed in your profile or shared with lawyers unless you choose to book a consultation
Your legal description does not appear in browser history URLs (it is stored in sessionStorage, not URL query parameters) to protect sensitive information.
After Your Plan - What Next?
If your plan identifies that you need a solicitor, you can:
- Click Find a Lawyer to be taken to the AI matching wizard with your legal area pre-selected
- Browse the recommended lawyers and services shown in your plan
- Book a £15 consultation directly from a lawyer's profile
The consultation will produce a much more detailed and specific scope than the Plan My Case output - because it involves a qualified solicitor asking the right questions for your specific situation.
