How to Join eSolicitors
Joining eSolicitors takes about 10–15 minutes. You complete the application form before creating an account - your details are saved in your browser and your account is only created at the very end.
Eligibility Check
Before applying, confirm you meet these criteria:
- You are a qualified legal professional regulated by a recognised body (SRA, BSB, Law Society of Scotland, a US state bar, or an accepted international regulator)
- Your practising certificate (or equivalent) is current and in date
- You hold Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) at the level required by your regulator
- You are not currently suspended, struck off, or under investigation by your regulatory body
- You are not based in a restricted or sanctioned jurisdiction
Step 1: Go to the Application Page
Visit esolicitors.com/apply-to-join - the dedicated lawyer application page.
You will complete a 4-step wizard. Steps 1–3 collect your details without creating an account. Step 4 creates your account.
Step 2: Personal Information
- Full legal name
- Email address (this becomes your login)
- Password
- Phone number
- Country of practice
Step 3: Professional Details

- Primary jurisdiction: Where you are primarily qualified (England & Wales, New York, etc.)
- Secondary jurisdictions: Additional jurisdictions where you can advise

- Registration number: SRA number, BSB number, US state bar number, or equivalent

Registration Number Validation
- SRA numbers: 6–7 digits - auto-verified via SRA public register

- US state bar numbers: API lookup for CA, NY, TX, FL, IL - manual review for other states
- International / other: Manual document review by compliance team
If your number format is unexpected, you will see an amber warning but can still proceed. Admin reviews it during verification.
Mandatory Consultation Agreement
You must tick: "I agree to offer the mandatory 30-minute AI Scoping Consultation at £15 to clients who book through the platform."
This is a condition of joining. It is SRA-compliant - the £15 fee goes to eSolicitors for platform infrastructure, not to you as a referral fee. Your earnings come from the matter that follows.
Step 4: Account Creation
Your account is created with:
- Email/password authentication
- Professional details saved to your lawyer profile
- CV uploaded (optional)
You are then redirected to the Getting Started page in the lawyer portal.
After Joining
Your profile is not yet live. You need to:
- Complete your profile - photo, bio (min 100 words), availability
- Complete verification - see Verification for the full 5-step process
Once verified, your profile goes live in search results. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days.
