Template Store
The eSolicitors Template Store allows you to sell legal document templates to clients and other lawyers. You earn 75–85% of every sale depending on your subscription tier.
What You Can Sell
Any practitioner with a valid subscription can list legal document templates, including:
- Contracts and agreements (NDAs, employment contracts, shareholder agreements)
- Compliance documents (GDPR notices, AML checklists, client care letters)
- Court documents and precedents
- Legal letters and notices
- Terms of business templates
- Jurisdiction-specific templates (UK, US, international variants)
Quality requirement: Templates must be original, legally accurate, and suitable for the jurisdiction advertised. All templates are reviewed by admin before going live.

Creating a Template Listing
Go to Lawyer Portal → My Store → Create New Listing.
Each listing includes:
- Title - clear, searchable name
- Description - what the template covers, what it includes, who it is for
- Practice area - used for categorisation and search
- Price - in GBP (£). Set to £0 for free templates
- Jurisdiction - which legal system the template applies to
- File upload - PDF, DOCX, or XLSX (max 25MB)
- Preview - optional preview image or sample pages
- SEO keywords - suggested by the platform based on your practice area
- SRA/ASA compliance check - the platform auto-checks your tags against the compliance keyword list (50 terms flagged as block or warn)
Approval Process
When you submit a template listing:
- Status changes to Pending
- Admin reviews the document (typically within 1–2 business days)
- If approved, status changes to Active - the template goes live
- If rejected, you receive a reason and can amend and resubmit
Commission Structure

Commission is applied to the sale price exclusive of any applicable taxes.
Payouts for Template Sales
Template sales are paid to your Stripe Connected Account (the same account used for matter payouts). You must have Stripe Connect set up to receive template revenue.
Payouts follow the same schedule as matter payments (2–7 business days after sale).
Free Templates
You can list templates at £0 (free). This is useful for:
- Building your reputation and profile
- Showcasing your expertise to attract consultation bookings
- Marketing high-value templates with a free "lite" version
Free template downloads do not count toward client monthly download limits.
Client Monthly Download Limits
Platform (eSolicitors-owned) templates are subject to client monthly download limits by plan. Your personally uploaded lawyer templates are NOT subject to these limits - clients can purchase and download them unlimited times.
Template Analytics
In your lawyer store dashboard, you can see:
- Total sales (all time, this month)
- Revenue breakdown per template
- Download count per template
- Top-performing templates by revenue
- Buyer feedback and ratings
Template Reviews
Clients can leave reviews after purchasing your templates. Reviews are:
- Published after a moderation check (typically instant for legitimate reviews)
- Flagged automatically if submitted within 24 hours of the listing being created (shill review detection)
- Displayed on your template listing page and contribute to your overall rating
