Step 3: Join Your Video Call
Before the Call
- Ensure your camera and microphone work in your browser
- Find a quiet, private location
- Have any relevant documents ready (the lawyer may ask you to share them)
- No software download needed - everything runs in your browser
Joining
At the call time, go to Client Portal → My Consultations → Join. The video room opens in your browser.
The Consent Screen
Before the recording starts, you see:
"By clicking below, you consent to this consultation being recorded and transcribed for the purpose of generating your AI scope report."
Click I Consent to proceed. The recording does not start until both you and the lawyer have clicked consent.
You can decline. If you prefer not to be recorded, click Decline. The call continues without recording - the lawyer may still generate a scope from notes.
During the Call
You see:
- Your video and the lawyer's video
- A text chat panel (for sharing notes or links)
- A file sharing area (to upload documents during the call if needed)
The call runs for 30 minutes with an auto-cutoff. If you need more time, you can book a second consultation.
After the Call
The video room closes. You are returned to your client portal. You will see:
"Your lawyer is preparing your scope report."
Your lawyer has up to 24 hours to review and send your scope.
